Project Description

The building will be located east of Chief Leschi School creating easy access to school programs, community and bus routes. This facility will accommodate both Children’s Services and Child Support programs in seperate areas of the building. Phase I of the building will be Children’s Services. The building design seeks to engender a sense of nurturing and comfort for visitors and employees. Traditional coastal Salish building forms such as the shed roof are interpreted in an updated way. The building has several sustainable design features, promoting a sense of stewardship to the environment.

Project Delivery Method

This project will use the “Design Assist” delivery method. With this method the Tribe contracts directly with the architectural firm and the general contractor. This method enables the site construction schedule to start during design development, delivering the project sooner.
