Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing assigned ICW/Child Welfare cases within the Prosecutor’s Office and serves as the Assistant Prosecutor/Juvenile/ICW and Child Welfare Presenting Officer for the Tribe.

Must have a Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited Law School. Experience and Intermediate knowledge using word processing and spreadsheets (i.e. Word for Windows, Excel, Access, etc.). Must have a minimum of five years of experience practicing Indian Law in both Tribal and State Courts. Must have at least one year of prosecutorial experience.
Note: Part-time work is prorated in crediting experiences (e.g. if you work 20 hours per week for a 12-month period, you will be credited with 6 months of experience).
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must be a Washington State Bar Association Member in good standing.
Must have and maintain a valid and unrestricted Washington State driver’s license.
Member of the Puyallup Tribal Court Bar.
Not to be the subject of a child protective service investigation (Tribal, State, or Federal).
Have no outstanding arrest warrants.
Have no felony convictions (Tribal, State or Federal).
Have no misdemeanor convictions (Tribal, State or Federal) in the last 15 years.
Attorneys can have no professional disciplinary actions in the last 15 years.
